Summaries of Evaluations
Summer Career Exploration Program Evaluation
Researchers found that implementation was strong, but there was little difference in the long term effects of the program on SCEP students.  Nevertheless, the report concludes that SCEP and similar programs have an important place in our region's system of supports, programs and opportunities for young people.
Evaluation Recommends Central Data Clearinghouse
An evaluation of regional databases has led to a recommendation for the development of a central, collaborative clearinghouse for regional information that will better serve local nonprofit organizations and the people who rely upon them for services.

Capacity Building Effort Evaluated
The Conservation Company studied the effectiveness of William Penn's funding for technical assistance and capacity building.
Free Library Grant Findings
In October 1996 the Foundation awarded a three-year grant of $18.1 million to the Free Library of Philadelphia toward creation of model urban library services for children. Two evaluations were conducted to assess the grant.
Children Achieving Findings
In December 1995, the Foundation awarded a three-year grant of $13.8 million to the School District of Philadelphia toward implementation of the Children Achieving program. Two evaluations were commissioned by the Foundation to determine the impact of the grant.
