Mission: Improve the quality of life in the Greater Philadelphia region through efforts that foster rich cultural expression, strengthen children’s futures, and deepen connections to nature and community. In partnership with others, we work to advance a vital, just, and caring community.
Why William Penn? The Foundation is named for the 17th century Quaker whose pursuit of an exemplary society and understanding of human possibilities led to his founding of Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love. Today, the Foundation works to improve the quality of life in the Greater Philadelphia region by advancing dynamic and diverse communities that provide meaningful opportunity.
