Funding Priority: Revitalize Greater Philadelphia's Urban Core

The urban core of the Greater Philadelphia Region is home to many significant neighborhood assets: commercial corridors, recreational opportunities, transit connections, cultural institutions, parks, and rivers that can anchor the revitalization of their communities. Our investments in targeted neighborhoods seek to complement community assets by catalyzing innovation and leadership. Our funding for policy advocacy supports and reinforces the sustainable redevelopment in neighborhoods of strength.

We meet this priority through support for work that addresses two objectives:

  • Advocacy for the implementation of city policies to facilitate sustainable development and improve fiscal health; and
  • Accelerating the sustainable redevelopment of targeted neighborhoods through innovative projects and strategic investments.
