Foundation announces effort to develop Philly journalism collaborative04/21/2010 To ensure our region’s capacity for high-quality public affairs journalism, the Foundation will make a series of targeted investments intended to establish an independent journalism collaborative.The effort is informed by a new report from J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism. Annual Report This year's edition includes feature articles by local writers on Philadelphia's new Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy; strengthening Pennsylvania's policy achievements in early childhood and school funding equity; and the potential for the region's extensive trail assets. Annotated Bibliography on Research Related to Arts for Children & Youth The Foundation has initiated a community-wide effort to reinvigorate arts education for Philadelphia’s children and youth. The following is a digest of research demonstrating the positive effects of arts education on young people. It is a snapshot of key studies that have influenced the Foundation’s point of view and approach. 2007 Annual Report We are pleased to present the Foundation's 2007 Annual Report, featuring original artwork by local artist Laura Hutton and feature articles by Philadelphia-area journalists. Area Cultural Groups Adjust to Changing Audience Patterns As Greater Philadelphia's audiences evolve and change, the region's arts and cultural organizations face the challenge of adapting the ways in which they relate to their audiences and consumers. In a new monograph, the Foundation explores several exciting and innovative approaches that show great promise for arts groups. 2006 Annual Report We are pleased to present the Foundation's 2006 Annual Report, featuring original artwork by local artist Laura Hutton and articles by three Philadelphia-area journalists. 2005 Annual Report Our 2005 Annual Report, featuring original artwork by Philadelphia artist Eurhi Jones and articles by several Philadelphia-area journalists is now available for download. 2004 Annual Report Our 2004 Annual Report features original artwork by Philadelphia artist Jon Krause and focuses on the ways in which our Foundation seeks to effect policy and systems change in Greater Philadelphia. |
