News line Public Access and Broadband Communications in Philadelphia

The William Penn Foundation is pleased to present the results of a technical evaluation of public access and broadband communications in Philadelphia.  The engineering study, performed by Columbia Telecommunications Corporation (CTC), is intended to aid in technology planning and implementation for the city of Philadelphia.

In many cities, public access entities bring a variety of educational and civic programming to the public using cable-based and emerging media technologies.   The CTC study represents an effort to determine what would be involved with establishing a such an entity in Philadelphia.
