News line Reinventing Older Communities
National Conference on Community Revitalization to Take Place in Philadelphia, April 5-7, 2006

The William Penn Foundation is pleased to co-sponsor the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's second biennial conference on reinventing older communities.

This national conference will explore innovative community development strategies and other issues related to the arts, brownfields, community organizing, displacement, eminent domain, foreclosures, greening strategies, health, homelessness, schools, transit, waterfront development, zoning, and the needs of rural areas. 

Conference sponsors include Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, The Brookings Institution, William Penn Foundation, The Reinvestment Fund, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Pennsylvania Planning Association, PolicyLink, Smart Growth America, 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, and five other Reserve Banks.
