Where We Stand: Community Indicators for Metropolitan Philadelphia, fourth in a series of annual reports on a wide range of data about the 353 municipalities of the Greater Philadelphia region.  By compiling data at the municipal level, rather than the county level, the report provides a basis for decision makers to think and act in more regional terms.

Supported by the William Penn Foundation, the report is based on analyses of U.S. Census and other data and surveys of 1,000 households, and establishes baseline data which will be revisited annually for the next several years, enabling regional leaders to benchmark progress.

This year’s edition of the report introduces a new approach, designed to be more compact and reader-friendly by narrowing the number of indicators to a critical few. In addition, web users will now find an interactive mapping tool which can be used to create custom views of the data.

The report and an online mapping tool are available online at www.temple.edu/mpip
