Action Plan for the Central Delaware 2008-2018
Publication Date: June 26, 2008

On June 26, Penn Praxis released its Action Plan for the Central Delaware 2008-2018, a series of recommendations designed to transform one of Philadelphia’s greatest assets.

The action plan calls for 10 steps to implement the Civic Vision for the Central Delaware, over the next ten years, including reforms to the Penn’s Landing Corporation, creation of a master plan and clearer zoning, new public amenities such as parks and a trail along the waterfront, and extending transit and key streets to the river’s edge.

Mayor Michael Nutter has strongly embraced the civic vision and the action plan, and has announced his intention to begin implementing many of the key recommendations. Video of his remarks is below, courtesy of PennPraxis.
