WILLIAM PENN FOUNDATION CONTINUES COMMITMENT TO ARTS & CULTURE WITH $11.8 MILLION IN NEW GRANTS TO 35 ORGANIZATIONS

PHILADELPHIA (May 30, 2019) – Today the William Penn Foundation announced $11.8 million in funding for 35 arts and culture organizations. These grants offer unrestricted operating support to a range of arts and culture organizations that contribute significantly to the vibrancy of the Philadelphia region.
“This unrestricted funding for a range of arts organizations reflects a diversity of artistic disciplines as well as organizational sizes and operating budgets. It is intended to provide flexibility to support mission-related expenses, to experiment with new artistic programming, and to explore approaches to achieving sustainability and organizational health,” said Leonard C. Haas, Chair of the William Penn Foundation’s Art Review Committee.
